If someone tries to login into the members area from the same IP but fails to provide correct username/password 5 times within 20 minutes, their IP will get banned temporarily (few hours). if a member's username is used to login from 5 different IPs and 4 different browsers, this username will have its password deleted, thus preventing further access using this username.
